1 1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 1/2 cup buttermilk
(vinegar is added to sour the regular milk )
2 cup all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 tbsp vanilla
4 tablespoons butter, melted
Yields: 12-16 pancakes
1.Add vinegar to milk and set aside for 5 minutes to to allow milk to”sour”.
(or use buttermilk – no need to set aside)
2.Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk egg, vanilla, and butter into “soured” milk. Add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and fold until lumps are gone. (do not overmix)
Set mixture aside for 5 minutes.
3.Heat Griddle and coat with cooking spray. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle, and cook until see bubbles appear on the top. Flip and cook until golden brown the other side.
