In celebration of my little ones 2nd birthday I thought I would give you all a wonderful homemade buttercream frosting recipe. I’m doing my best to go the “All Natural” route and many of the store bought frosting have a lot of extra unnecessary ingredients. I can promise you two things. The ingredients have nothing artificial and this frosting is truly delightful. The only thing I can’t promise is that it’s supper good for you. 🙂
I will say it is sweet but isn’t buttercream suppose to be sweet?! The buttery flavor balances it out though. Everyone raves about it whenever I put it on cupcakes/cake or cookies.
- 3 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (organic)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons whipping cream
