Operation Summer Fun: Design Your Own T-shirt

Thankfully it’s summer and it’s actually sunny and warm in the great old New York State.  But we still have a few rainy days that decide to show there ugly heads.  This week we decided that “Design Your Own T-shirt”  would be great to do on one of those rainy days.

I stopped by Michael’s last week to get some supplies.
** FYI:  If you are a Michaels shopper, I just found this amazing coupon here.  It’s for 20% your entire purchase (including sales) through Saturday August 6th.

Iron On Transfer Numbers

Fabric Paint

Fabric Paint Stencils
Stencil Sponges

The iron ons were surprisingly easy to do.  All you need is an iron, ironing board, and a towel.  It takes only a few minutes to do each shirt.  The stencils were easy to apply and we used them multiple times without having any trouble.  If you are going to use fabric paint I would recommend using sponges to apply the paint.  They made applying the paint easy and prevented the kids from using to much paint.
